    Description

Real photograph postcard view of a brick commercial building in Jackson, Minnesota, by the Co-Mo Foto Co. of Watertown, Wisconsin, circa 1916.  The view, entitled Forrester Bldg., Jackson, Minn., 753, shows a recently built two story brick building set at the corner of two city streets. The block on the front near the roof reads A.D. 1916. The store on the left has a display of pocket watches in the window and a great hanging clock sign that looks like a pocket watch with a pair of spectacles hanging below it. The name on the face of the clock looks like it could be Severson or Svenson. The store on the right has a sign that reads Millinery and a display of bonnets in the window. There’s one more sign by the back of the building that reads Cash for Cream, Poultry and Eggs. Jackson is the county seat of Jackson County and is located close to the border with Iowa. The postcard is in good or better condition with only light wear and soiling. The photograph exhibits good or better tonal range and shows good or better detail. A nice early Jackson MN view!
